Sukhi Sansar Pariyojna (SSP) managed by Lucknow office of HLFPPT was implemented in all the districts of Kumaon and Garhwal region under which Social marketing of all the RCH products was done. This programme was funded by SIFPSA. The population covered in this programmes were rural population and vulnerable urban population. This programme was targeted for better impact and cost efficiencies and was able to create in overall growth in market for condoms and its use. The programme worked with the government and Local NGOs implementing RCH programmes leading to better synergies and integration with ongoing health programmes. Focus was given on communication aspect, which made it evidence based and centered around behaviour change communication, peer engagement and community participation.
To make our reach in rural areas, we tied up with the PDS ration shops and RCH products were made available in the interiors of rural areas.

After the formation of Uttarakhand in 2000, HLFPPT started Mobile Health Clinic project in 2004 in two blocks of Chamoli i.e. Ghat and Dasholi. The key features of this programme are that 12 FSDP (Fixed Service Delivery Points) were formed and RCH and OPD services are being given twice a month to the villages surrounding every FSDP. The provision of Lab testing is also in the Mobile Van.
Apart from this 6 female VLWs (Village link workers) were appointed to mobilize and motivate the people. Their main work is to hold the meetings with the community to spread the awareness on RCH issues.
After the success of this Mobile Health Clinic, same project has been started in 2005 in the district of Tehri. It covers two blocks i.e Narendra Nagar and Jaunpur.
Till date we have provided our services to about one lakh people in both the districts. This programme is a successful example of Public Private Partnership.
